Mark Hyun-ki Kim (김현기) is a software engineer and science writer.

A mathematician by training, Mark has broad interests in mathematics, computer science, science communication, and education. He cares strongly about making the world a better place and thinks breakfast food is a silly concept.

Previously, Mark was a 2016 AAAS Mass Media Fellow at the NPR Science Desk. He was the director of Courant Splash, a STEM outreach program in New York City, from 2012 to 2015.

Mark studied at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey and is a member of the American Mathematical Society, the Association for Computing Machinery, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Association of Science Writers.
