Math 111: Precalculus I, Fall 2009

Lecturer: Cyril Coumarbatch, cec at rci dot rutgers dot edu\ Recitation Mentor: Mark Kim, markhkim at eden dot rutgers dot edu

This is the first part of the two-semester sequence in precalculus. The class will cover, roughly, the first three chapters of Precalculus by James Stewart, et al.; the mathematics department website has a suggested syllabus. The pace of the class may be different from what the syllabus prescribes.

Recitations will meet in SC-103, Tuesdays at 4:45. Students are responsible for submitting homework at the beginning of each recitation. Students will also receive a quiz in some recitations; the quizzes will be administered at the end of the recitation. Solutions to the homework and the quizzes will be posted on this page.

Office hours will be held in Writers House lounge (the basement of Murray Hall, next to MU-002 and MU-003) from 4:10 pm to 4:40 pm on Tuesdays and Au Bon Pain (126 College Avenue) from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Thursdays. Since ABP is very crowded during the indicated hour, students should notify me that they would like me to be there. Students may also contact me to schedule an appointment.
